This application was made for the automation and convenience of memorizing new information of any type. The only restriction - it should fit the text field. Vocabulary, dates, numbers, formulas, names, titles or whole sentences - this application is going to help you with all these.
The work of this application is based on graduated-interval recall - a type of spaced repetition published by Paul Pimsleur in 1967. If you want to memorize some information, application will ask you to recall it in 20 minutes, then in 1 hour, 5 hours, 1 day, 5 days, 25 days, 4 months and 2 years. The purpose of graduated-interval recall is to help you put new information into long-term memory.
On Memorization you can:
- Add to the library every new piece of info you want to memorize.
- Specify some hint that will be shown to you by your request if you stuck and don't mind some help.
- Specify some answer for item, that will be required from you as a proof that you do indeed remember.
- Setup individually each period of time at which previously added items will popup, as well as the number of those periods.
- See how much time left before the next item will popup for the recall procedure.
- Receive notifications when items are ready and queued.
- Open the library and modify or delete items, as well as reset their progress. Filtration is available for you to speed up the procedure of searching for specific items.
With this app you cannot:
- Get the ready-to-go list of words/items from some source. Each of them you must add by yourself, as well as their hint (optional) and answer (optional).
On launch the app will ask for the "Storage" permission, which allows to access photos, media and files. It is required for storing your library on external storage so you could get access to it through file browser and make a backup (in case of resetting device to factory settings or simply switching phones). If you don't need it right now, you can omit that permission, and set it later through android settings if required.
